Remember the old Johnny Carson skit when he dressed up as the "great seer, soothsayer and sage" Karnak the Magnificent? So the question to the answers above would be: What are the three best things about Autumn? Football, well that speaks for itself. Whether high school, college, or professional, it's all enjoyable. Unless you're a Cowboys fan, of course, waiting for the eventual letdown come the first round of the playoffs. Temperatures also is self-explanatory, especially for a large man like me who has a good deal of natural insulation. Always enjoy those cooler temperatures.
The best part of Autumn, though, is when our club (Carthage Music Club) starts our program year in September, churches start planning Christmas music, and the Longview Civic Chorus begins practicing for and performing our Autumn concerts. Always fun!
Enjoying music makes my life richer. Enjoying music together with a friend creates a deeper bond with that person. Encouraging others to enjoy music gives me a sense of having done something good, not just for myself but for the other person, as well.
Onward and upward, to infinity and beyond!
